If your current bracket bolts to the intake you are fine.

As for that carb, why?

I have a edle 600, and don't like it. Go with a holley

thanks.
Im getting the edel carb brand new for $50, so i didnt want to pass that up. I have a Q-jet on it now that is completly shot and giving me between 2-3 mpg, I also have a Holley 1850 but it needs a rebuilt beacuse it was leaking gas every where and didnt have a bracket for the TV cable on it.

the only thing you might need is the little stud that bolts to the linkage to hook it too and you might be able to take that off of the quadrajunk...

Are you having problems hooking the cables up to the bracket?

Or

Having problems having problems hooking up the cables to the carburetor?

You should be able to pull the throttle linkage stud off of your old carb.

well, a new edelbrock carb comes with the throttle stud. Drop buy your local checker, or kragen, one with a "performance" section.

With all the holley parts there should be a small box of throttle studs for like $5.

One of those is the right size. or, you could always go to the hardware store, get a small bolt and a nylon lock not, put the bolt loosly in the throttle linkage, put the throttle cable on, then put the lock nut on loosly. should work about the same.

It has a stub for the accelerator cable on it but the hole in the end of my cable is to small and doesnt fit over it. I dont have any of those stores around here, autozone and o'rilleys are the only ones and they dont have much.

my accelerator cable wouldnt fit over the stud on my edelbrock, so i just took the ball on the stud over to the bench grinder and made it so that it would fit. took about 30 seconds. All you need is another stud to put in the bottom hole on the linkage for your kickdown and you are good to go.
