Hey new here. Which rods and hangers should I use for my Q-jet
I have a 85 Z28 with a done up 305 and I want to know which rods and hangers would be best for my Q-jet?
305
272 H10 Crane cam w/ .454" lift and 272 dur.
305 heads with mild bowl job and 1.94 intakes
Edelbrock performer EGR intake
Headmann headers
Accel cap, rotor, coil, plugs, modul
Taylor 8mm spiral core wires
Shes been rebuilt carb to pan and fired up yesturday
Or should I put my 600cfm Holley on and play with that??
I thought you guys would like to see my car.

From: out of my mind; be back in 5 minutes....
Car: 1989 Firebird Formula
Engine: Internal Combustion
Transmission: Completed
Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
Somebody will probably recommend using DR secondary rods and something like a B secondary rod hanger.

Start with the stock rods and hanger and work from there. Most of your power tuning will be on the secondary side. Try a AU rod and experiment with different hangers and air valve tension settings.
Because of your larger than stock cam ( built in EGR)
you may want to restrict the EGR flow into the intake somewhat.
