need new fuel lines
i have a stock fuel setup for a 1986 LG4, the metal lines run up the pass frame rail to the rubber lines that go to the mechanical fuel pump and then a metal line to the stock Q-Jet, problem is the header tube is real close to the rubber fuel lines about a half inch, i have some kind of heat retard stuff on them like a tube that goes over it, and i dont like this setup at all, what can i do to fix it so i dont have to worry about the fuel next to the header? is there some kind of kit or something, how about you others with carbs and headers?

I don't know of any "kit".
My car started out as a V6, which stays on the driver's side frame rail up to the engine. I used the V6 lines and routed additional line lengths to get across the engine compartment on the front of the crossmember to/from the pump. They're well away from the headers. I rather prefer this set-up to the factory, which routed the line over the transmission - seems like a hotter location than mine.
On the '57, I got a roll of aluminum fuel line from Summit and re-did the entire line. I was doing it to go from 5/16' line to 3/8", but it also allowed me to route it away from heat sources. You might want to consider doing something like that, which allows you to pick the route, and sleeve anything that is close to a heat source (aluminum transfers heat more readily than steel - I put some heat reflective sleeving over the parts that come closest to the engine).
