Choke housing
Hello.
Just wondering; How should i read the scale at the choke housing?
Having trouble with the choke adjustment. When i cold start the standard LG4, the idle goes high; 1700rpm. It takes several minutes before i manage to get the idle back down, to normal warm idle (750rpm).
Do anyone have a picture, that shows a "normal" choke setting?

Thanks.
What`s your high idle? Mine is 1700rpm. Is that normal?
What does the choke housing adjustment mean? I can adjust the tension at the choke spring. Does this regulate how long the choke is on?

turning the black center (choke) will adjust how much you choke comes on, the tension on the top butterfly, it also has 2 or 3 cams on it that hold you idle higher ,throttle open, more to try and keep the car running while it is cold. If you look from the front of the car between the choke housing and the carb housing you will see a screw which allows adjustment of the Choke Idle speed. I personally do not like my cars reving past 1200 when they arecold to be honest I don't care for 1200 either I prefer 1K or less, but each motor and carb is different. If you feel the choke is set right coming off early enough, and coming on soon enough you may just want to try and adjust the choke Idle screw.
