should I go with a roller block?
I am hopefully picking up a block this weekend for my carb buildup...I was wondering if I shouldget a block that has roller provisions? would it be beneficial for a carb build up for around 375hp at the flywheel? I am sorry if my quesiton is vague...but I am basically asking if i should pick up a roller block to use for my carb buildup Thanks

Roller cams can make more power than a flat tappet in a streetable combo.
You might be better off asking in the GenTech/Engine Swap boards though.

Not all roller blocks have the mechanical fuel pump rod and oil return drilled. Something of which to be aware when you're out shopping.

Get a roller block only if you want to go with a factory roller setup. If you can live with a flat tappet cam or want the retro-fit design (way better design, IMO), then get a flat tappet block.
That's my 2 pennies.
