Best carb for 350 w/882heads
350
882 heads
Comp XE268 cam
Performer intake
Headman LTs
700r4 w/ 3.73
~8.6 comp ratio
I currently have a 750 4115 Holly for it but i think that is way too much for my combo, plus the carb is so old its been discontinued, but its still in great shape, just havent seen it run yet
I want something thats going to let it perform verywell but also easy to tune, milage is kind of key here aswell, mech choke also
im thinking more along the lines of a Edlebrock 650 performer

750 is OK, like all carbs it will need the proper configuration. As far as what you NEED, a 600 would probably be fine. You wont be seeing a lot of high RPM's with you head/intake/cam combo. In this case, I think it is a run what ya got thing. Tune the 750, and save the money you would spend on a new carb for some new heads.

That actually sounds ALOT like the engien I have, although I have a tamer cam and a manual trans.
I have a Holley 3310 (4bbl, 750cfm, VS, 4160 style) and it kicks *** once you tune it right. I still have to replace an intake gasket on my engine, but the engine, even with the vacuum leak, still runs stronger, smoother, and starts easier than it ever did with my old setup (stock intake and Qjet)
BTW - My 3310 is jetted 69/76 and has the factory powervalves in it. Mines an early 3310, so its got primary and secondary jets, as well as two powervalves. I don't think the newer 3310s have secondary jets (metering plate) or a secondary powervalve.
You can get all those with a 4150 conversion kit for it though, or just get the right metering plate for the secondary side.
I HIGHLY reccomend getting Holley's electric choke kit too, if you plan to use it mainly on thr street. Took me 15 mins to install with the carb on the car, and it starts easier and faster than even my mom's '02 Sebering!
