Help picking some primary rods

I decided to get some new primary rods for the ride because I am pretty sure I have the wrong ones in there right now (as in a different generation). I don't even know where to start to pick out some new rods widthwise. I have a 305 with an automatic and a few upgrades such as a slightly larger than stock cam and headers. The choices I have are on this page http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...25239&x=16&y=7

Thanx for any help.

Just to be clear here:

- We are talking about primary rods, not secondary, correct? In that case you need to tune with both rods and jets, not just rods.

- We are talking about a non-computer controlled q-jet, correct? Otherwise, the discussion is moot (unless you really mean secondary rods).

Really, I would like to go back to the stock condition of the carb but I no longer have the orginal rods. They got bent and now I havhe no idea how it should be.

We still have no idea what kind of carb you're talking about, and whether you really mean the primaries or the secondaries.

The Summit page you linked was at too high of a level to know what rods you were looking at.

I need the primary rods, not the secondaries. The orginal primaries for my carb, which is a post '75 non-CC qjet, got bent at one point and the replacements I found for it came out of a different generation qjet, one that has a rod with a double taper, instead of a single taper like I need, I believe. My choices are from a .035 in. single taper primary metering rod up to a .054 in. single taper primary metering rod in jumps of .002 (.037,.041,...). Thanx
