Code 32 on 82, Fuel Solenoid malfunction
I have code 32 and 13 on my 1982 Trans Am. Stock LG4 with an open element, headers and exhaust. Code 32 is Fuel Solenoid malfunction. Code 13 is Oxygen sensor short(plus something else). The car is probably running lean, because it does get warm easily. Code 13 most likely came on because it is too lean for the sensor to read. In 1982, there was only one code for the oxygen sensor. I'm going to try carb cleaner, the Fuel Solenoid may be stuck. I don't know if it's worth it to put money into this fuel delivery system.

Posting on multiple forums, I see.
I'd recommend a recheck of what Code 32 means.

What scanner?
Per the information available on this Board, Code 32 is not the MCS.

I can find out today or tomorrow, but I assume the computer gave different codes for 1982. I believe the dwell was at 30.

For the 1982 LG4 engine I am not finding a code 32 listed for it in either the 82 camaro or firebird GM service manual. The code 13 is for the O2 sensor and the M/C solenoid is code 23. I had an 85 Z28 with a code 13 and it was cleared by adjusting the TPS on the carburator.
Also in 1982 there were several codes for the O2 sensor.

lol I think I mixed up those two numbers. Well that throws everything off. I'll try to double check the code tomorrow.
What other codes are there for the O2 in 82, and what do they mean?
I can get a new MCS from the dealership for 95 plus tax w/ employee discount, so it should be close to 100 bucks. I have no idea how to install it, or how complicated it is, I'll read about it this weekend.

The other O2 codes for 1982 are code 44 (Lean exhaust indication), code 45 (Rich exhaust indication), & code 55 (Faulty O2 sensor or ECM). If you have a code 44 or 45, check to see if you have a code 23 or 54 present. Code 54 = Constant High Voltage From M/C Solenoid To ECM.
