Inconsistant Idle Speed
I'm not sure if the problem is my carb, but I think it is. When I start my car, once I turn the fast idle off, my car idles around 1000-1300. After driving it around, my idle is like 700-800. Then sometime the idle speed just stay at 1000 and doesn't ever drop. Any idea what might cause this? I think I'm running a little rich.
Bye the way....my setup:
305 L69 w/ Holley 600 e-choke, MSD distributor, edlebrock RPM intake, 700r-4 with shift kit, dynomax exhaust, no cat, no smog

Sounds like either a bit of a vacuum leak somewhere, or your choke/fast idle needs some adjustment.
Could also be a weak throttle return spring too. That happened to me in the summer. Spring pulled it all the way back most of the time, but about 1/3 of the time, it didnt, and it idled about 200rpm higher because it didn't go all the way back.
