holley carb guys...

...having car trouble...been messing with the damn carb for the last couple days because the car was running like absolute crap....i tore the carb down, clean it and blew it out and reassembled it back to what the holley book says

the carb is a 4160 600cfm vs

the car turns over and is getting fuel...i would get it to idle but would idle like complete crap....i would give a little gas and it would backfire really bad and stumble.....distributer problem??

when i reset the carb the fuel mixture needles were set to 1 1/2 turns out on both sides...the accelerator pump was shimmed @.019 @ WOT like the book says..

distributer problem??...its a mallory unilite ...what could go wrong with this?...

Personally, I don't know anything about the Unilite.

But, to butcher an old saying, most carb problems are resolved by fixing the ignition.
