question about accelerator pump

hi,

today i replaced all the gaskets etc. on my holley 700 dp. i removed the acc. pump. on the primary side. the spring, retainer bar and check ball was very rusty. i removed the retainer bar (its now on the ground of the garage i cant find it anymore) and then i noticed the holley trick kit doesnt come with this thing. only with this umbrella check valve.

my question is, is this retainer bar available seperatly or can i modifiy the old one so that it will fit?

here are 2 pics to clarify what i mean.

this is the sec. side. this was ok...

thats the pri. side. see the rust?

That bowl looks pretty corroded, but maybe it's just the pic. It looks like the check ball seat area is pretty bad. If it is, you would probably be better off replacing the bowl and using the umbrella type valve. If it doesn't seal, you'll lose some pump shot. The umbrella type seal quicker than the check ball too. Bowls aren't too expensive, JMO.

You can get just about any part seperately from Summit. That bowl sure is pricey. I thought the chrome ones were only 60 a pair.
