Holley 780 DP vs 750
I have a buddy who will give me an old 780 DP carb for free, I also know a guy selling a 750 for cheap.
From what I've gathered on the internet, the 780 is an old carb. Is there any reason I should stay away from it and go with the 750 instead?
Also, does the 780 really flow more than the 750 or did they just change how they flow these things?
Thanks

To the best of my knowledge, Holley never made a 780 CFM double pumper. The famous "3310" was a 780 but vacuum secondary.
Model 4150 DP's have always come in 50 CFM increments - 600, 650, 700, 750, 800, 850, etc.
See http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/ProdLine/CarbList.pdf . With the 3310-2, it changed from 780 to 750, and from a Model 4150 to a 4160 as well. Other than that, I don't know why it was dropped in CFM rating.

Well, looking over that list more carefully, it appears the 0-7010 was a 780 CFM Model 4160 DP.
What's the list # on this carb you've got a line on?
