special tools for cc q-jet?

Is this something mandatory? I have good luck with the non cc carbs but my cc carb is a disaster! Is it that I dont have the special tools to do it right? I hope so. Thanks Randy

Im just trying to put a gasket kit on one and set the throttle position sensor. I have something way out of wack. It will go 0-to fowling out the plugs in .5 seconds. It dumps the fuel.

I just called my local NAPA. They can't get these tools from their supplier any more. Any ideas on other suppliers??

Snap-On, Mac, Lisle, K-D, etc. would all probably have whatever tools you need.

I may have found another source for the Thexton tools:

JC's Online Toolshed

At least the #370 part (gauges) was listed and my order went through, so I'll see if I get the parts.

I still can't believe Thexton discontinued that product

Niehof CST28N gets you the mixture control set.

If that's the number for the carb gauges, I'm all about ordering that. I couldn't find any pics. My order for the Thexton 370 fell through with JC's. Seems they don't carry it either, not even old stock, but the rest of my order went ok.

P.S. Niehoff has 2 f's - makes it easier for search purposes

Parts America order fell through too. Said they were unable to get the part, even though it was listed on their website. I think I'll take the hint and just give up trying to find these tools. I'll do my adjustments the hard way.
