Edelbrock fuel pump for SBC?
I just purchased an edelbrock 1721 mechanical fuel pump for my 383 stroker and I took the block off plate off and the pump does not cover the hole!!?? The part that actually need to meet the block top bolt up needs to be longer so do I have the right model number or what. I checked and it says that the 1721 is for the SBC so any ideas?

You're missing the fuel pump mounting plate, which is what the block-off plate replaces. It looks the same, with a large oval-shaped hole in the middle.
Just as a warning, you'll probably need the adapter for that pump to relocate the fuel inlet and outlet ports to the bottom.

A junkyard, or if you really don't want to find a used one, Mr. Gasket, Trans-Dapt and others make cheesy chrome plated ones.
