Carb problem need advise

I have a Elebrock 600 cfm that has been sitting for a year or so. I just put it on my new 350 I dropped in my 86 iroc. The carb is running very very rich. When I tried to adjust the adjustment screws, it did nothing, you can turn the screws all the way one way or the other a nothing changes. Can anyone give any suggestions? Thanks.

First off I have holley, but I'll try and help as best I can. Is the car running rich idling or driving around as well? The idler screws adjust just what they say, the idle mixture. If you're running rich cruising then its jets. Before you change anything I found something interesting that you said "you can turn the screws all the way one way or the other a nothing changes". If this is the case then you have a vacuum leak or your throttle blades are open past the transition slot. The reason I say this is the car should die if you screw the idle screws in all the way. Check for vacuum leaks first I use carb cleaner. Spray around the gaskets and listen for the idle to surge. If it does then you've found your leak, also check your vacuum hoses and plugs.

good luck
