What's the duration of the cam?

Given the small specs of the cam lift I'll assume the actual duration is on the small side and the rest of the combo leads to more off idle low rpm powerband. I would stick with a 1" 4 hole spacer. Any taller and you run into clearance problems and the 4 hole design lends itself to boosting low rpm power. Some engine take really well to them, other dont. Meaning some may feel stronger seat of the pants, buyt not show anything at a track, only for sure method is a dyno session.

Just remember, putting a spacer between the carb and intake is never a bad thing since it helps control heat sink somewhat which in turns helps fuel delivery into the plenium.
