Help tuning my Edelbrock 600 cfm carb please

As the title says. I'm finding little to NO literature anywhere specifically on tuning edelbrock carbs. The edelbrock website is no help either. I bought the car with the carb, so I have none of the documentation that came with the carb. The carb is set up with manual choke, and the vacuum ports are all sealed. I want to get this car running smooth, but the carb and the timing (a seperate issue that is a thorn in my side) are killing me!

Any help and advice (other than "buy a holley") would be appreciated.

Just found this online, its the digital version of the carb operations manual. http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive/eps_intro.html

Hoping this will help me a bit. just wish they had a printable version as my computer is nowhere near my garage

After getting the manual, I worked it out. I wasn't tuning the IMS's right, causing me to have idle issues. that's fixed, now it's just down to timing.
