Which power valve?
Trying to determine if my power valve is the right one or not. I am using 4.5's and I checked my vac. At idle it's at 5inches. Under load it runs 7 inches and full throttle 0 inches. I seem to be blowing a couple valves now and again on my 780cfm holley. Is there more info I am missing here to help with this question? I have a huge cam that allows almost no vac which is why I have a vac reservoir for the power brakes.

If the 5" at idle is with motor warmed up and in gear, you need a 2.5 PV

PV does'nt mean squat once you past 1/4 throttle. To get the right PV you take what you vacuum is in gear with motor warmed up and divide it by 2.
Why your going through multiple PV's is beyond me
I've run multiple carbs and this current 950HP for 4 years straight and have'nt lost 1 single PV yet.
If it's truely 5" at idle in gear- warmed up, trust me, buy the 2.5" PV's., set your idle mixture screws and get on with more important things.
