o.k., the camaro was running great w/ the original carb, then it started to flood out after shutting off & not want to start. decided to rebuild it, but couldn't do it in one day, so i put on an 850 dp (#9380) that i had just rebuilt. really woke up the motor!! but, i have a strange bog at about 3000 rpm, half throttle, like cylinders are cutting out? #76 jets in front, #80 in rear, front power valve 3.5, rear valve plugged.(it also did this w/ a 3.5 in the rear) timing is dead on, 22* initial, 35 total, all in by 3000, just like w? other carb. any ideas?

new carb has annular boosters, old had downleg

also, the 850 doesn,t want to idle all the time? too little stall for the big carb?(currently 2200 stall)

 

you can find any info on holley carbs on the web site www.holley.com I have found it to be very helpfull. If yo urun a holley........ hope you tinkering.

 

any idea what kind of vacuum you are pulling at idle?
