TPS question
2 bbl carb on an 84 2.8L firebird - TPS return voltage readings from scanner are 0.02V at idle; 0.42V at 2500 rpm; and 4.46V at WOT. There don't appear to be any dead spots in the output, but there does seem to be a 1 second or so delay in the voltage reading on the scanner when moving the throttle. My question - is there enough play in the TPS adjustment screw to bring the idle voltage up to specs (.3 to .5V) or does the low voltage at idle not matter.
Stock ECM on old carburetor engines is SLOW. It can take quite a while so see a change in readings on a scan tool from one of these old buggers. Sounds like you've got "sane" readings from what you've posted.
