if im switching to a carb from fuel injected i know ill have to get lower fuel pressure. can this be done with regulator or do i have to switch fuel pumps to a lowed psi one and take the old one out of gas tank?
any info on this switch is appreciated

You can use a return style regulator with the in-tank pump. If you do a search, this has been covered in detail a number of times.

ok thanks i just wanted to clarify cause i had a mechanic tell me there was no way to regulate the 50 psi down to 4

A Mallory #4309 will do exaclty that.
