Carb and manifold help.
ok, i just got my transmission in and the guy said my carbs bad. so i want to replace the whole set up. my friends dad has an edelbrock preformer manifold and carb, he'll sell it to me for $100 for the both because he wants to get rid of his truck. anyways the truck is a 78 gmc halfton p/u or whatever with a 350 will his manifold and carb bolt up to my 305 no problem or what? thanks for any help.

They will bolt up. You may have to do something with your throttle cables, especially the transmission throttle valve cable, to get it all to play together nicely.
What are you going to do for a distributor? And to lock up the torque converter clutch?

i dont know to much about any of that so i was going to take it to a shop and pay themt o put it in, i was just wondering if it will work on my 305 and whether its a smart idea or not. thanks again.
