quad to tpi

ok.. i know its a pain but, i don't have an smog or air system. any problems that could arise out of that with the computer trying to adjust any thing? also, any good guesses on what size injecters to put on a 427sbc?

A quadtrajet computer cannot control TPI. Simple matter of function. Every sensor, ECM, fuel pump, there's more to change that I would be willing to go through.

I wouldn't use a TPI on a 427, either.

Putting TPI on a 427 would be about the same (performace wise) as putting a 2bbl carb on a 427. If you wanna go fast, it just won't work.

The CC Qjet on the 427 could be VERY cool though

But since the 427 is based on a 400 block, would the knock sensor from a 350 work? The bores are 1/8" different...?

If the knock sensor would work, then I'd say go that way. That would be a really hot street mill

I was planning on getting a "Painless Wiring Harness" and ECM for a TPI system. But, i read that by removing the smog pump that a Tpi based car tries to compensate for the temp and air fuel %; thus, stuff gets broke. so, i wanted to know what to do to the ecm so it wouldn't try to alter because of the lack of smog pump. that quad on a 427 does sond pretty cool.
