Start flaming---I cut my fuel lines....

for some reason, my dumbass decided to cut the feed and return fuel lines right where it comes up the firewall so I can hook up rubber hose lines to go to my AFPR. I did this like a year ago, along with taking out the entire wiper system. Well Im putting the wiper system back on and I noticed that I mounted the AFPR right where the motor needs to go. So I have to relocate that somewhere, but I dont want rubber lines everywhere. Im trying to think of a way to use hard lines as much as possible, and the only rubber lines I want to use are the 2 rubber lines that come up off of the frame rail that go to the motor (old motor was an LO3). So would it be wise of me to cut both lines underneath the car, maybe 12-15" back from the firewall, and re-run the lines or just go to a junkyard and get old stock lines? Illt ry and get some pics to help better explain my dillema.

heres an old pic, may not do it justice. You can slightly see where the regulator is on the firewall, the rubbe rlines go from there to just about where the firewall somes together with the trans tunnel.
