Electric To Manual Fuel Pump
I Installed a replacement 305 that was once an Electic type Fuel Pump. When I went to convert it to a manual Fuel Pump I pull the cover off the side of the engine and found some type of plug in the hole that the Pump Shaft is located. Is this just a plug I can pull out and replace with a Pump Shaft rod. I would leave the Electric Pump I put on, but I'm finding it to me a lot of up keep (not to mention load).
Somewhere in the late 80s/erly 90s they produced blocks that no longer had the fuel pump pushrod hole machined into it. Also, even if it had the hole the (stock?) cam in those engines often did not have the fuel pump eccentric machined into the cam
