Edelbrock problems
Posted this before but got no responses. Please help!!!
I'm getting a flat spot at tip in on light throttle. Timing's good. I've change step up springs in all directions with no change. I've changed jets in all directions with no change. Today I looked in the top of the carb while introducing light power and the primary booster jet trickles fuel throughout rpm and at about 2500 it unloads a shot of gas and then continues to trickle. When it unloads this shot the car stutters and then acts great. I think this is my flat spot. Is there something to adjust to have the jet introduce fuel more smoothly or is there a clog or sticking checkvalve in the system somewhere. It doesn't seem to me that this is how the carb is supposed to work. Just want to be sure before sending it for warranty.

As you open the throttle the accelerator pump should shoot raw fuel directly at the boosters. This is normal. Fuel dripping constantly from the boosters is abnormal. Check your float level, needle and seat, and fuel pressure.

I know where the accelerator pump boosters are. This is not them. It is the main jets inside the primary booster venturi. It is where the fuel comes from during normal operation. It has a constant flow of fuel throughout operation except at a certain point where it appears to unload an inconsistant shot of fuel and then return to normal operation. It seems like it may be vacuum dependant. Or it may be when the power mode is initiated, but it seems that it should be smoother then this and more gradual. The manual even says that the fuel rate should increse directly with the air increase. IT just seems like it is not operating the way it should.
