carb swap problems

carb swap problems
alright well im nearing the eand of my swap and i have a holley 750 carb going on a 383 but my throttle cable is either too short and won;t reach the throttle bracket on the carb or bracket that holds the throttle cable is wrong and i need a different one. any one else ever had this problem or know of a solution

I had the same problem when I installed my 750 holley. You need to find an adjustable bracket for the accelerator cable. Jegs or Summit should have one. I also had to adjust the cable where it hooks in the accelerator pedal. There should be 2 pressed on rivets on your cable with a plastic piece that fits in your accel pedal. Mine was set on the bottom setting so I had to change it to the top setting.

i picked up a throttle cable from a camaro same year as mine and it was plenty long enough, and i also ran an adjustable edelbrock bracket on the intake and it works great.

You can get what you need from AutoZone. They have the right bracket in chrome in their performance isle. Thats where I got mine from.
