Carb or Fuel Injection?
Carb or Fuel Injection?
I'm planning on swaping out the stock motor and need help deciding fuel injection or carb. I want a s.b. motor with 700-800hp running 10s or faster. What route should I go? Please help me decide Looking for pros and cons and any other help deciding my problem. Thanks everyone for the input. Joined: Mar 2000

Carb. Power above ~400 HP NA is much cheaper with carb.

depends what your doing to get that high... for 700-800 your talking a power adder for sure cause even a big stoker motor like a 434 is gonna have fun reaching that high and lasting... if you go super charger or nitrous stay carb... a turbo go FI...

If you are going to do this in stages stick with a carb. In fact 80% of cases I'd stick with the carb(s). The only time I'd say FI is if you were building with 700-800HP the first time (ie. no injector swaps/sensor swaps). You'd be paying and tuning your budget away...

Well, let's not sugar coat this. Start with a 500+ CID BBC, full cage, back-halved, and work your way from there.
