Throttle and Kickdown cable linkage
I just recently swaped a 350 small block and a turbo 350 trans into my 1991 rs camaro. The car originally had the tbi 305 and 700r4. I just got the motor cranked over the other day and every thing seems to be comeing together finally. I have the bracket that held the throttle and tv cable on the 305, but i have no idea where to even start hooking up the linkage. The intake is a edlbrock performer and i have a edlbrock 600cfm carb. Please help!! I also need suggestions on a return spring and mounting.
These may seem like stupid questions but i have never done anything like this before!! Thanks alot!!!!

This is going from memory, I will take a look to be sure and correct any wrong information. What I did was go to the junkyard and found a vehicle that had the TH350 and a carb stock in it. I put that on my motor, instead of the stock one, then hooked up the linkages. Its pretty easy to figure. The carb only opens up one way, so hook the throttle cable up so it will pull it open (remember the throttle cable shrinks as you step on the gas) and put the kickdown cable on the other side (it has to stretch as the throttle opens). As for a return spring, I just made up a bent bracket with two holes in. I bolted one side onto the bolt on the front of the intake, and in the other I put a spring that connected to the throttle to pull it closed. You'll have to figure out how to make the bracket work with your setup (air cleaner, intake, valve cover gaskets, etc.) clearences, but a little trial and and fix and a hammer and vise should be all you need. Hope this helps.

Check your Summit/Jegs magazine- they have a good selection of linkage mounts- usually the mounts are fastened to the carb studs. Once you have the cables mounted- put the accelerator cable on the top part of the throttle- and the kickdown cable on the bottom. Then pinch the kickdown cable adjustment tabs on the side of where the kickdown cable comes out of the plastic. While pinching the adjustment tabs- move the throttle to wide open position and release the tabs.

what modifications did you have to do in order to use the turbo 350 instead of using the 700r4...drive shaft mods? **** like that...?

TH350 change over
Basically you have to change the driveshaft, cross member and maybe a the kick down cable. I would also recommend you change the tranny mount to poly. It is really easy if you find an eary 3rd gen. with a TH200 in it, because it is the same size as the 350. I recommend searching in the transmission fourm, lots of info in there.
