Vented or non vented gas cap?

Vented or non vented gas cap?

Hi guys, my 1983 Firebird came wiht the incorrect gas cap on it, that the previous owner had added. Should the car have a non vented or vented gas cap?

I suspect it should be non vented, since it is a closed vapor recovery-type system?

Correct, non-vented.
