Carb mounting questions

i have an edelbrock performer intake manifold that is mounted to a stock quadrajet, i am replacing the quadrajet with maybe a holley. will there be any mounting issues, and if there are is there any sort of mounting kit that can be used to mount my new carb onto my manifold? any suggestions on what carb i should get would be nice also.

The holley carb will bolt right onto the edelbrock manifold with standard studs. You might have to adapt the fuel line to fit properly, as I recall the stock q-jet had a solid line running up to it. You will want to either adapt that to the holley, or scrap it and use a hose (preferably braided steel) to get fuel from the pump to the carb. Another thing to think about is if you are using a double pumper how you are going to get fuel to both sides if the carb is a 4150. Many companies sell dual inlet adapters from 25 up. Your accelerator and TV cable (if automatic) will use the studs off of the q-jet to attach to the holley. Hope this helps,
