Holley 600 need re-jetting?

Ok I posted up a lill while ago about getting my carb re-built and I decided to do it myself, I went over it with a tin of thiners, Carb cleaner (preshure pack), paintbrush, tooth brush and 5 hours, it came out like new.

My problem it that it is running VERY ritch now and the idle mixture screws are all the way in if I screw them out it gets worse, I can smell the raw fuel when it is idling but if I screw the throttle on I get a cloud of black smoke.

What jets should I run in it? I think they have a 5 on them ATM.
The Holley was of a 69 camaro but i duno the engine size.

not sure how export cars are but did that used to have a Computer controlled q-jet and distrobuter..if the dist. is still computer controlled it could definatly cause you running problems and the timing would be all out of wack...

why did you switch out the stock q-jet..i did a little work to mine and the car ran awesome..14.4@94 on L69 305 with just headers and exhaust..

my Q-Jet was getting 9MPG around town, it was imported back in 87 from the US, i guess it had a cc carb at one stage but it don't now. The Q-Jet (matching the numbers up) is off a 70's GMC truck (Emissions era but not cc) and it is not a cc distributor it is a HEI one.
