I just got my parts to switch from TPI to carb and I bought a jegs 14x3 offset air cleaner. Jegs said you need the offset to clear the HEI dist. I have a GoodMark steel 3' cowl induction hood. Does anyone know if the offset air cleaner will fit up in the hood cutout or will it hit the side because it is offset. Thanks for replies.

 

It should be fine, although with a cowl hood you could have just bought the flat base air cleaner and that would have fit fine as well. Don't need an offset with a flat base.
