Will A Demon Clear My Hood?

Hi guys - I've got an easy one here. I had a 600cfm Edlebrock on the car and the hood BARELY cleared a drop-base 14X3 airfilter. My question is - does anyone know if a BG Road Demon has a higher air-cleaner base location than the Edlebrock?

I dont want to gut the carb if it won't fit. If it won't, I'll just buy a 14X2 air cleaner element and call it a day (for now).

You'll likely need to use a spacer because of the vaccum line for the power brakes. Which if I recall the Edelbrock/Carter carb fits without having to do that. So it will likey be taller.

they sell a low profile 90 degree fitting for the brakes. Also the road demon is the vacuum secondary correct? Either way a holley would be a cheaper and better idea IMO.
