fuel regulator

i'm swapping out my 82 TA 305 for a 350. this is my first project of this magnitude. I've read alot on this site for a while and have a good idea of what I have to do. one question is my fuel regulator. I'm unsure of what I need or where it even is? is this part of my sending unit in the tank? or is it external? I never noticed it when taking the 305 out? any help would be great.

Re: fuel regulator

if the 305 was the LG4 with the carb, it should have a mechanical fuel pump on it. They are usually internally regulated. The pump should be on the passenger side of the motor down near the bottom front.
