Manual fuel pump on my 87 firebird gta
I am thinking about pulling off my my tbi set up, and installing a carb and intake. What i wanted to know is if a manual fuel pump with work on that stock camshaft?

Welcome to thirdgen.org.
It should work. The cam should have the lobe, and the block should be machined to mount the pump.
There wasn't a TBI set-up in '87. Did you mean TPI?

I can only say that the '87 LB9 engine I had was machined to mount the pump and had a pump lobe on the cam. But, the engine had been rebuilt, so the cam may have been replaced, but with roller lifter cams, that's less likely.

At worst you'd have to hook up an electric pump. Pretty common on boats, anyway.
