help, Leakage Woes!!

First off, any help is greatly appreciated. My problem is this: I have a Holley 1805-9, which as I gather is a 600 cfm vacuum secondary mild performance carb. It's leaking fuel from the vacuum actuator area on the passenger side. I can't tell if it's from the butterfly shaft or the vacuum diaphragm itself and runnin down the linkage. I also can't find a rebuild kit for it that says it's for that particular carb. My questions are :
1. What rebuild kit works on this carb? I've heard the 4150's kit will work.
2. How common is it for the secondary butterfly shaft to leak like that?
3. Can I get just a kit to rebuild the vacuum module?

This is all on a 1969 era 327 chevy, edelbrock torker II, HEI vacuum dist, 1.96 double hump heads, etc.
Thanks
Kael

are you positive of the part number? It doesn't appear on the holley carb list... theres plenty of 1850's though 1850-2 through 6, they all use the same kit, 37-119

yep, positive, on the choke tower there's 1850-9 and under that 0616, on the body of the carb there's 8050B. that's my luck to get one that doesn't exist....

1805-9
1850-9
Somewhat of a difference there...

Yeah the 1850 is just yerbasic POS generic "carb", probably the single most common part # Holley sells. Yes it is a model 4150 (which means it's a square bore, vac sec, metering plate model) It uses the same kit as ALOT of other 4150 Don't worry about the -9. It's a 1850. Just get that kit and move on.

There's no fuel up around the vac diaphragm. So the leak is not there. (At least, not a fuel leak...) The fuel is in the fuel bowls, and in the throttle bores when the engine is running. It is somewhat common for them to leak a small amount of fuel around the shafts; notably, after turning the car off when it's been running for a while. Nothing you can fix with a rebuild, just kind of comes with the territory.

Re: help, Leakage Woes!!

Thanks very much for your help, I apologize for the typo the first time. I can only ****** computer time at work every now and then so i was in a hurry. it's a good bit of fuel, even when running. Sometimes makes a little puddle on my intake. BTW this car is a parking lot queen, never been more than 200 yards at a time yet. It's a slow project car. I'll get the kit that RS mentioned. Anyone think that a stock Corvette 69 fuel pump would push enough pressure to overcome the seats in my carb? My regulator pooped and I'm waiting on another one... Thanks for your time
