Heat control
I have an 83 camaro and i am putting a H.O. 350 with shorty headers in it. Everybody i have talked to has told me that i am going to have major heat problems under the hood. The obvious solution is header wrap, but is that enough.
I also heard that if i drill a hole in the thermostat it will allow more waterflow and cool better ... true or false?

Re: Heat control
dont drill a hole in the thermostat, if you want a cooler one, just buy one.
as for headers, you will be fine, just keep wires and fuel lines away from the headers so they dont touch and melt, you can always get ceramic coated headers and they will keep a bit more temp out of the engine bay.
Headers will not cause the engine to run hotter.
