Loud fuel pump

Hey guys I just installed a mallory pro comp 140 pump in my car. Im running a fuel cell in the back so I ran the lines through the well and to the stock hardlines. I mounted the pump underneath the car on the hump before the well and its really loud there. I just bolted it right on so maybe I should of put some rubber washers inbetween the pump and the car to somewhat quiet it down? Anyone have any good techniques for sound deadening a pump?

Re: Loud fuel pump

all electric pumps are loud, you can try to build a bracket for it with some rubber isolators, but you did mount the pump onto a large flat piece of metal that will resonate. Sound deadening on that well would help also.
