will a gas tank from a 4th gen fit a 3rd gen?

well i can get a 4th gen tank and i'd like to have a sump installed for it. if it will fit in the space i can figure the rest out-thanks!

Do the metal tanks still have a rubber fill hose??? If not, thats gonna be an issue. But I guess you can cut it and fit a rubber one...

If your going to rig it up I would make an LS1 tank work somehow. They are plastic. No rust.

the reason i had asked this was i had found a fabricated fuel cell for a 4th gen for sale.we couldn't agree on a price so i installed a 16 gallon fuel cell instead.
