Manual choke carb

Anyone have a manual choke cable on their carb? i just bought one similar to this holley one http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku that i am going to install on my edlebrock 750 this weekend. I am going to mount it somewhere below the speedometer. I noticed on the end of the wire that goes on the carb its just a straight cable so there is no way of hooking it to the choke without modifying it. What have you guys done to hook it up or am i just missing parts? i bought a spectre one from autozone if that matters

Re: Manual choke carb

I think you are just supposed to use a small self tapping sheet metal screw in the choke lever on the edelbrock manual choke carbs.

Manual choke cables are really crappy quality and usually get kinked and broken. Electric chokes are so much better, that I run them exclusively now if I have to use a carb. I would grab a parts carb (I actually have one but I am using it) to steal the electric choke housing and linkage from. They are easy to adjust and work well.
