Problems with Holley 750 main body

I'm having issues with my 750HP main body and was hoping somebody could help. I put it on my 650 double pumper, and it picked up noticable power, but the car leaves a smoke screen of unburnt fuel when I get into the secondaries. I bought it about 2 years ago and have taken it on and off of the car several times because of this.

I followed the instructions, used the jets it came with, tried rejetting but it didn't help. It runs fine when I have the stock 650 body on but it leaves a HUGE thick cloud of smoke when at wide open throttle. My girlfriend was about 30 feet behind be on the highway one time, and when I floored it I lost sight of her in my rear view mirror. That's how bad it is.

The car in question is an 87 Trans Am with a 350. It's about 10:1 with Vortec heads, Lunati Voodoo 268 cam with 1.6 roller rockers, Weiand Stealth manifold, HEI, MSD, Hooker 2055's and catback, T5 with 3.73's. It also has a Holley "blue" fuel pump and a Mallory regulator set at 6 psi.

Any ideas or suggestions?

yea I'd make a pull at the top of 3rd, shut it off instantly, coast to a stop and pull a plug. I'm guessing the secondaries are too rich, try jetting down.

How much advance are you running? If it's that bad you're gonna wipe the cyl walls out from fuel wash.. Sounds like a sick combo otherwise. I wonder why it's so rich..

I'm running 36 total advance. And I know exactly what you mean about the fuel washing out the rings. Right now the 650 main body is on there, and the 750 is just an expensive paperweight.

Will it run at 38 or 40* timing? You might try advancing the timing and see it that helps. Also hows the gap on your plugs?
