i didn't know where to put this so here it is. If the moderators want to move it thats fine. Yesterday I replaced my valve cover gaskets and the passenger side was a major pain but I got it done. then when I went to start the car it just kept cranking. I have a clear fuel filter and there was nothing in it. i assumed that it was the fuel pump and replaced it and I still have the same problem. also, there is fuel coming into the pump beause when I remove the hose coming from the tank the gas keeps siphoning out. Any help would be appreciated.

And BTW I have an 83 z28 with an LG4

yes It was working before I replaced the valve cover gaskets

 

Did you have the fuel line disconnected? How long did you crank it before you gave up?

 

I disconnected all the fuel lines to replace the fuel pump and I cranked it for about 5 minutes intermittently and about 1 solid minute. it starts if I pour gas into the carb
