holley secondaries opening
Ok for a week or 2, I had some junk holley 600 VS on my car just to get me by till my Q-jet was done.
i didnt have the electirc choke hooked up the choke plate did as it pleased, staying about 3/4 open.
The secondaires never sounded like they opened(my Q-jet does
)
Are holleys the same way as a Q-jet, the secondaires dont open till the choke is pulled off all the way?

Re: holley secondaries opening
No choke secondary lock-out that I'm aware of on a Holley.
Ruptured secondary diaphragms or improperly installed vacuum diaphragm assemblies.... then you get no Holley secondary opening.
BTW- you won't hear the secondaries open on a Holley quite the way you will on a QJet. A QJet you get the big increase in volume and pitch when they open: "Buh-waaaaaaaaa!" Holley sounds a little less dramatic about it.
