My electric choke is broken, so i need to buy a new one. The thing is, that GM has decided to make this part on my Quadrajet no longer available. Does anyone know of any aftermarket quadrajet electric chokes that will work on a 1986 trans am. There are two numbers on the choke, I've got 75119 and 161-5 if that helps any in figuring this out.

 

Off hand no but call Summit or Jegs and they should know if there is an after market kit. Also, try GMparts Direct, Salee Chevrolet (both on the internet) and if you have not done so yet, try the Search feature at the top of this page. Some of the guys on this site may have the kit for sale or have enough parts that you can put the choke together.

 

Replacement parts are available from your local auto parts store Advance/Kragen/Schucks/Checker/Azone.

 

nope, the parts are no longer made. My local parts store (lordco) is not able to get that part, and so far all the shops around here have told me that im SOL unless i can find one at a wrecker.
