Possible carb issues?
Hey all, i have a 83 firebird with the 305..if its the q-jet carb or not im not sure. But for the problem, i start it, it runs at about 1000RPM and doesnt go down even after the choke has come off. I take it for a spin around the block, clutch in and the idle drops to 500 puts there for a second or two then stalls. Could it be a carb issue? Any help is great thanks

Could be a choke issue, like sticky/gummy mechanism. Could also be a vacuum leak.
