Read the stickys still need help TBI to Carb
I have 89 RS that had a tired 305, found a rusted out 83 Caprice with a new motor cheap. The motor is a GM crate engine for a truck and had a Comp. 260H installed and added a Weiand intake and Holley SA 670 Carb. I drove it home and it ran great. Swapped the motor out and added the 350 knock sensor used chip from a Caprice cop car, shorty headers and no cat flowmaster muffler with the dual outlets. I have read on here but can't get my Camaro to run right as it should. Even bought a Holley TBI intake and Holley 670 TBI still no help. If I go with the Weiand Intake and Street Avenger carb do away with the ECM, what about knock sensor and other things I swapped to run the 350. What will I have to change to run the Carb.? I think I can handle the wiring for the lock up converter. In fact I have most of the parts needed as the guy had tried to run the 83 Caprice as TBI and couldn't get it tuned right so he had already installed the correct fuel pump and regulator and things. The 89 RS is a really nice car with a 4" Harwood bolt on hood and seats swapped out of a low mileage 2000 wrecked Trans Am. I really would like to get this car driveable so any help would be greatly appreciated.

The knock sensor will be brain dead, as will all of the computer controlled features.
