What finish to get on Holley 4bbl

Hey I was going to buy one of Holley's 600 cfm carbs and I noticed that the shiny zinc finish is actually cheaper than the gold finish. What is the reason for this? I thought that the shiny finish would be more expensive. Do people have problems with the zinc finish peeling or oxidixing or something?

personal preference. supply and demand pricing. the zinc will dull and look much like the older style with alot of driving and weather.
