Setting up a Holley

Hey guys I just got my engine running in my car and I was wondering if anyone could provide me with info as to how to tune/set up a Holley 600cfm carb(vac. secondaries). The car runs, we got the timing set, but I have no clue how to set up or tune a Holley. I basically only know how to adjust idle by using the idle screw. I see that there is a Holley tuning sticky but I need to do basic tuning first. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Also, we took the car for a test drive and we found out that the gas pedal has a very limited distance it can travel before it hits the floor. How would you go about adjusting this? I have both of the kickdown brackets installed that Holley says to use with a 700r4.

Edit: Actually, the pedal doesnt make it to the floor. It only moves about an inch and a half, and doesnt even hit the floor at all.

Set up: The adjustments you make prior to installing the carb on the engine.

Tuning: The adjustments/changes you make after the engine is running based on how it runs.

The sticky covers them both.
