1/2 Fuel Line Tank to Carb
Have anyone made the modification? I am replacing the sending unit with my new Autometer guage and would like to upgrade to a 1/2 or -8 fuel line. With my new engine creeping in the 550ish Hp this would be the idea time to upgrade. What about the return line, can I just get rid of it because I am running a Carter 120 and A Pro-System Carb (non computer). The fuel line itself will not be a problem but the sending unit modified as a -8 or a 1/2" is cause me to brainstorm. Any has ionformation and a few pictures will be hekpful if you have done this conversion.
Thanks

Re: 1/2 Fuel Line Tank to Carb
I would weld a sump onto the tank if you want to go to a 1/2in line. A return style regulator always works best for consistant fuel pressure, where a dead head regulator will usually allow the pressure to creep up at idle. You could probaby get by with a dead head regulator(that is the easiest route) but it does have some drawbacks.
I have a sump welded on the stock tank, return style regulator, AN fitting welded on the top of the tank for the return line, Aeromotive SS electric pump, and used braided line to connect everything everything. It works great and I've never had any fuel starvation issues.
